KEEPSAKE MATERIALS

The price of each piece of jewelry in our shop includes the addition of your keepsake material(s) as well as the customization option(s) of your choice. You are welcome to add as many as you'd like for a truly one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry! I look forward to working with you!
*Check out our Gallery & Instagram to see these Keepsake Materials in action!*
Note: Please do not send the very last of your irreplaceable items.

BREASTMILK OR FORMULA

1 tablespoon (1/2 oz) of milk required per piece. Milk does not have to be fresh (I've worked with milk frozen for 10 years!), but needs to be shipped at room temperature, so condensation doesn't damage packaging. Please mail double bagged (with name label on the outside bag). Due to the preservation process of the milk, leftovers will NOT be sent back, but will be kept for 1 year in case additional orders might be made.
If sending formula, please only send it in powder form. 1 tablespoon is sufficient.
*If you no longer have milk, but still wish to honor the journey of feeding your baby, you may request a piece made with "symbolic milk" (white pigment) in any of the keepsake pieces. (No need to send any materials for this.)
**I also offer the option of "donor milk" to honor those moms and babies whose breastfeeding journeys involved giving or receiving this liquid gold. (If you'd like to donate any of your leftover preserved milk to my donor collection, let me know in the notes when you order!)
***Note: Due to the translucent nature of milk, if you choose to add colored add-ins for customization, the milk may pick up & reflect the surrounding colors.

CREMAINS/ASHES

1 teaspoon cremation ash required per piece. The finest materials, from the top of the bag, will create the smoothest results. The color and texture of your materials will ultimately determine the look of your final piece. Keep in mind while choosing your jewelry design that the weight of these materials cause them to sink to the bottom of the resin mold (usually the front or bottom of the jewelry, depending on the design). **When shipping ashes, the United States Postal Service (USPS) is the only legal delivery method, and priority shipping is required. Excess materials will be sent back with keepsake item.

PLACENTA OR UMBILICAL CORD

1 pill of dehydrated placenta or teaspoon of  chopped dried umbilical cord required per piece. Excess materials will be sent back with keepsake item. *Note: DO NOT send any fresh/not dehydrated items.

SOIL, SAND, OR SHELLS

1 teaspoon of dried soil or sand required per piece. The color and texture of your materials will ultimately determine the look of your final piece. Keep in mind while choosing your jewelry design that the weight of these materials cause them to sink to the bottom of the resin mold (usually the front or bottom of the jewelry, depending on the design). If sending a shell/stone/fossil, make sure the the jewelry design you choose is at least 3 mm larger than the shell. Excess materials will be sent back with keepsake item.

DRIED FLOWERS

2 teaspoons crumbled petals required per piece. Whole flowers will be crushed to place in jewelry. Know that sometimes the flowers change color when placed in resin-based jewelry. Excess materials will be sent back with keepsake item. *Note: DO NOT send any fresh/not dehydrated materials. Flowers can be hung to fully air dry, be dried in dehydrator, or placed in silica gel to dry.

HAIR OR FUR

Small lock of hair should be tied with a string, if possible, or fur can be sent in a small zippered baggie. Please specify if you'd like the materials in a certain layout (otherwise, default layout is diagonal) and we will do our best to accommodate. Excess materials will be sent back with keepsake item. *Note that white/grey & very light blonde hair may not show up well in resin. To get an idea of what it will look like, hold some of the hair in the water to see if it shows up.

FABRIC

A small piece of fabric can be added to your jewelry. Excess materials will be sent back with keepsake item. *Note that some white fabrics may not show up well, and that resin will give the appearance that the fabric is "wet" so it may look darker than when dry.
